Violette Silvester & Sons, Inc. was founded in 1898 by Ralph Silvester who ran the company with his son Violette. In 1948 he turned the company over to his three sons, Jim, Michael and Bill. The company became incorporated in February, 1950. Currently Bill Silvester, Jr. is the fourth generation who now owns the company. In 2005 the fifth generation, William R. Silvester III (Will) started working for the company on school breaks. Bill Silvester, Sr. holds the position of President and is still very active with sales calls.
Violette Silvester perform waterproofing work state wide in Connecticut and our septic tank and sewer work is done in the Greater Hartford area.
Violette Silvester offers septic tank pumping, septic tank inspections for real estate sales, septic tank and leach field replacements and new installations. We also connect homes that are currently on a septic tank to the city sewer system. We replace existing sewer lines that have broken or have roots in them. We have the capability and equipment to enter confined space areas to work on sewage ejector pumps. We have an electric snake to cut out main lines from the house to the street or from the house to the septic tank.
Our fleet of equipment includes septic tank pumping trucks, 6-yard dump trucks, F-350 dump trucks, pick-up trucks and vans. We have Case backhoes, Bobcat excavators, trench boxes and portable compressor units.
We have a computerized customer base for septic tank work of well over 10,000 customers.
Our foreman all have current Connecticut state licenses for septic tank installation and P6 and P7 plumbers license. We have men that are Connecticut state licensed for septic tank cleaning and inspections. We are also Nationally Registered On site Sewage Treatment System Inspectors. Our company is licensed through the State of CT and we are fully bonded and insured.
